EverList Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how VinTEK Solutions ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the EverList mobile application ("EverList" or the "App").

By using EverList, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in to EverList, we collect:

• Email address (used as your login identifier)
• Display name (optional)
• Authentication tokens managed by Firebase Authentication

You can use EverList without creating an account for some local features, but cloud sync and AI features require sign-in.

Meal & Shopping Data

EverList stores the data you create while using the app, associated with your account:

• Meal plans, dishes, and saved meal templates
• Shopping list items, quantities, prices, and check states
• Your master ingredient catalog including brand/organic preferences and household flags
• Custom events (reusable shopping bundles for trips, parties, etc.)
• Store list and per-ingredient preferred store assignments
• Weekly budget setting and recorded shopping trips
• Subscription state and usage counters (AI extractions per week, etc.)

Location Data

EverList may request access to your device location for one purpose only: finding your nearest Kroger-family store to look up live grocery prices. Location data is used in-memory at the moment of the search and is not stored on our servers. If you deny location access, you can still select a store manually by ZIP code.

Audio / Microphone

EverList does not access your microphone.

Photos / Camera

EverList does not access your camera or photo library.

Usage & Crash Data

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (app opens, feature usage, crash reports) via Firebase to improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Payment Information

Plus and Pro subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing and managed by RevenueCat. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers or payment account details. Payment receipts and entitlement state are stored on your RevenueCat account (keyed to your Firebase user ID) and reflected in EverList's subscription state.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain EverList's meal planning and shopping list features
• Sync your data across devices (Pro tier)
• Look up live grocery prices at your selected Kroger-family store
• Generate AI-powered meal, dish, and snack ingredient suggestions (Plus/Pro tiers)
• Track your subscription status and gate premium features accordingly
• Send optional account-related emails (password reset, etc.)
• Improve and debug the app via crash reports and anonymized usage data
• Respond to support requests you send us

3. AI Processing

EverList uses Google's Gemini AI (via the Firebase AI SDK) to generate ingredient suggestions and recipe text when you plan a meal, dish, snack, or holiday, or when you tap "Look up recipe" on a saved meal. Here's exactly what we send and don't send:

• What we send: The meal or dish name you typed (e.g. "Lasagna," "Thanksgiving," "Popcorn"), and contextual hints like the meal type (breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack).
• What we don't send: Your identity, your catalog, your other meals, your location, your pricing history, or any other personal data.
• AI-generated ingredient lists and recipes are shown to you for review before being saved. You can deselect, remove, or edit any suggestion, and clear a saved recipe at any time.
• Google's handling of AI requests is governed by Google Cloud's Privacy Notice.

AI usage is subject to your subscription tier. Free users get no AI access; Plus users get limited weekly/monthly quotas; Pro users get unlimited AI.

4. Kroger API

EverList queries the Kroger Developer API to look up live prices and product matches at your selected store. What's sent to Kroger:

• Your search terms (item names like "milk" or "ground beef")
• Your selected store location ID (not your device location)
• API authentication credentials managed by EverList

No personal information — not your name, email, account ID, or any of your other EverList data — is sent to Kroger. Kroger's use of the data they receive is governed by Kroger's Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Services

EverList integrates with the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

• Firebase Authentication (Google) — Account sign-in. Privacy
• Cloud Firestore (Google) — Encrypted cloud storage for your meals, shopping lists, dishes, events, and preferences.
• Firebase AI SDK / Gemini (Google) — AI-powered ingredient extraction.
• Kroger Developer API — Live grocery prices. Privacy
• RevenueCat — Subscription management. Privacy
• Google Play Billing — In-app purchases. Privacy

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) servers using encrypted connections (TLS/SSL). We use:

• Firestore security rules scoped to your user ID — no other user can read or write your data
• Authentication-based access controls on all requests
• Encrypted data transmission between your device and our servers

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your data at any time:

• Delete individual items, meals, dishes, events, or shopping lists within the app
• Clear your entire shopping list with one tap
• Delete your entire account and all associated data by contacting us at vintek615@gmail.com

Upon account deletion, all your EverList data is permanently removed from our cloud services within 30 days. RevenueCat subscription records may be retained separately by RevenueCat per their policy.

8. Children's Privacy

EverList is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for data processing
• Opt out of any future marketing communications

10. What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties — ever
• We do not serve advertisements in EverList
• We do not track you across other apps or websites
• We do not share your data with data brokers
• We do not use your shopping data to build advertising profiles
• We do not send your personal data to Kroger or any other grocery store

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of EverList after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
